Baa Bahoo Aur Baby (colloquially known every bit BBB or B3 ) (transl. Mom, daughter-in-law and Baby) is an Indian tv set dramedy series that aired in prime time on Star Plus between 2005 and 2010 with a total of two seasons.[i] [2] [3] The series was produced past Hats Off Productions and centered around a fictitious Gujarati Thakkar family living in Parla East, Mumbai.[4]

Overview [edit]
An sometime woman named Godavari Thakkar lives with her married man, her eight children, their spouses and her grandchildren. Godavari is the matriarch of the family. The family faces many problems. All of them overcome their daily issues together while living happily as a joint family.
Godavari Thakkar a.k.a. Baa is the dame of the Thakkar family. Her husband, Labhshankar Thakkar, is an alcoholic and theatre thespian, but a loving husband and father. Although he drinks alcohol, Godavari believes that one day he will change himself. She has raised half-dozen sons and two daughters on her ain, through lunch service. The family unit lives in Krishna villa.
Godavari has six sons: Arvind, a strict and old fashioned insurance agent; Praveen, a mischievous and stingy saree man of affairs; Subodh, a playful theater role player; Harshad, a successful doctor; Gopal a.k.a. Gattu, an intellectually disabled child; and Hemal, the adopted son who works at a bank.
Godavari has ii daughters: Charubala and Radhika a.chiliad.a. Infant. Charubala is a sophisticated adult female who always shows off. She is married to Tushar and lives in South Mumbai. Radhika is handicapped (afflicted with polio) and a very stubborn girl who is often seen talking rudely, simply loves her family and understands life.

The season begins with a detailed introduction of all the members of the household and how they deal with all the problems impacting a joint family construction. They confront different problems and misunderstandings. Notable episodic stories of this season are: Radhika's unrequited love for Anish; an NRI; Anish and Dimple'southward love story; Arvind not talking to his male parent, Labhshankar due to his drinking habit that has caused severe bug to the family from childhood to till date; Harshad being turned out of the house by Godavari and his render later on 5 years; Praveena's tragic demise; Radhika and Birju'south love story; the calamity of Praveen selling the firm without everyone's consent to relieve Hemal's life by helping him to return the money taken every bit loan; Hemal and Gurinder'south nuptials; and Jigar's coming of age. The sons go Krishna villa renovated. The flavour focuses on the relationship of Radhika - Birju, and Jigar - Rimjhim. Rimjhim is the daughter of a wealthy businessman and the Thakkar family helps her to elope from a forced arranged wedlock as she and Jigar love each other. Gopal grows attached to the newborn daughter.

Three Years Later [edit]
Leela and Arvind are about to become to United States equally Dimple is pregnant. Praveen'south children are all grown up and pursuing their careers. Harshad and Shilpa open a maternity home in Godavari's name. Meenakshi is expecting her tertiary child. Gudiya has had twin daughters. A breakthrough in polio treatment has helped Baby to recover from her polio. Birju and Radhika have a son named Aahan. Rimjhim has started a family catering business known as 'Thakkar Caterers'. Labhshankar has finally stopped drinking and is helping Rimjhim in business partnership by handling the accounts and deliveries of the catering service. And Gattu is taking care of babies in his playhouse which is built on the proper name of his foster daughter- 'Gatuki Palna Ghar' as he nevertheless misses Rekha and Gatuki. The flavour ends with the Thakkar family winning the 'Family of the Decade' laurels and all the family members are taking a family film together.

- Sarita Joshi as Godavari "Baa" Thakkar. She is the matriarch of the Thakkar family. She is a strict, stubborn, loving and caring adult female. She has vi sons and two daughters. If someone disobeys her, or interruptes in her conversation, she says- 'Koi behes nahi karega, jo behes karega vo sidha ghar se bahar jayega.' To that, her son Gopal always replies 'Aise..aise karke....' (while showing actions through his hand). She too has a catchphrase- "Kuch nahi sikhaya maa-baap ne, bas bhej diya!" She is secretly called Mogambaa, Jog Maya etc. by a few members of the family due to their frustration on her.
- Arvind Vaidya as Labhshankar "Bapuji" Thakkar. He is Godavari's hubby, a jolly and fun loving man who loves his family unit, a theatre role player and the patriarch of the family, only for saying equally he was an alcoholic man. He frequently sings the famous song of the moving-picture show Mughal-east-Azam 'More panghat pe....Nandlaal chedh gayo re....' He always teases Arvind to try and brand Arvind talk to him, as Arvind never talks to him directly due to his habit of drinking. The series was filmed at Swathi Studio in Goregaon, Bombay.[10]
In November 2008, the shootings and telecast of all the Hindi idiot box serial including this series and films were stalled on 8 November 2008 due to dispute by the technician workers of FWICE (Federation of Western India Cinematics Employees) for increasing the wages, better piece of work conditions and more breaks between shootings.[11] FWICE first took a strike on one October 2008 when they addressed their bug with the producers and production was stalled.[12] A contract was signed after four days discussions, and shooting was happening only for 2 hours per day, after which differences increased betwixt them while channels gave them time until 30 Oct 2008 to sort it out.[xiii] Declining to do then led to protests again from ten Nov 2008 to 19 Nov 2008, during which channels blacked out new broadcasts and echo telecasts were shown from 10 November 2008.[13] [xiv] On 19 November 2008, the strike was called off afterward settling the disputes and the product resumed.[15] The new episodes started to telecast from 1 Dec 2008.[16]
